I am going to drive to the coast tonight to pick up my son’s car. (CaptDale, I will be texting you about this.) He will then drive it home tomorrow, and I will head to Gonzales to do an I-9 training Thursday morning, before heading back to Fresno - departing by noon. Normally, I would take the Sunchaser for a trip like this.
How about that 38 degree swing in a single day? The peak heat of the day here is around 4-5 pm. I either leave late today and drive in the dark, or I take the Infiniti. Coming back tomorrow will be hot, but up to about 100 I am good to go in the open air. But I worry about the car over the mountains in this heat.
I may have to take the Infiniti.

Honestly, I would take the Infinity.

I’d get a part time job somewhere with a walk in freezer, and reschedule EVERYTHING.
Seriously though, love the Chaser, but this sounds like a job for the Infiniti.
Some appropriate driving music for you:

I take mental note of how many days I see each year with even a 30-degree swing (they’re always in the shoulder seasons). Almost 40 degrees is unheard of because the non-desert humidity holds onto all that heat.
Coastal Florida where I grew up was crazy...many days would be 10-degree swings.

Go buy the big infiniti and tow your toys so you don’t have to leave them behind! They are only about 70k plus a trailer sooo you could have the best of both worlds for as little as 80k where do I sign you up?:)

I have a hard time putting the top down above 90 degrees. No one should fault you for over 100.
